UWA Faculty Senate Minutes Date: May 31, 2001 Time: 3:35 p.m. Presiding: Dr. R.T. Floyd
Present: Dr. Alan Brown for Mrs. Tina Jones, Dr. Richard Schellhammer, Mrs. Sharon Underwood for Mr. James Todd, Mrs. Tricia Taylor, Dr. Manley Blackwell, Dr. Gene May, Mrs. Darlene Townsend, Dr. Johan van der Jagt. Dr. Floyd brought forth the issue of the Faculty Senate expressing appreciation to Mr. Terry Bunn, outgoing UWA Board of Trustees Chairman, in a joint resolution with the UWA Staff Senate. He then asked for discussion on the proposed resolution of which there was none. Dr. Alan Brown that we approve the joint resolution as written. Dr. Schellhammer seconded. The motion was approved unanimously. Dr. Floyd indicated that we would have the resolution professionally printed and framed for presentation at the June 4, 2001 UWA Board of Trustees meeting. A
Joint Resolution UNTO all whose presents this shall come, greetings. WHEREAS, Terry Bunn has served as Chairman Pro Tempore of The University of West Alabama Board of Trustees since June of 1998; and WHEREAS, during his tenure as Chairman Pro Tempore, his loyalty and dedication to The University of West Alabama brought great honor and distinction to the University; and WHEREAS, his conduct as Chairman Pro Tempore will benefit the institution and its constituents for all the years to come; and WHEREAS, his personal integrity and commitment serve as an example to all who are called to serve the University; BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that The University of West Alabama Faculty Senate and The University of West Alabama Staff Senate herewith express appreciation and gratitude to Terry Bunn for his service as Chairman Pro Tempore of The University of West Alabama Board of Trustees.
